Yup, it’s true, I’m leaving.
The weird thing is, my leaving TrueNuff has almost nothing to do with TrueNuff aside from it’s physical geography. I’m moving from Vancouver to Toronto (a distance of 3300 km or 2000 miles for those of you not familiar with Canada’s map) so it’s essentially impossible for me to continue participating in writing sessions, video shoots and weekly meetings that are the core of the TrueNuff production process.
I’m not out 100% – I will have a continuing role behind the scenes with TrueNuff TV, post-production (mostly audio and music), and perhaps continuing some writing, but I’m not going to try to take credit for what is basically going to become a three-man show. We have a bunch of video already shot for upcoming productions though, so I’m still going to appear in a few of the next couple months’ worth of videos.
I’ll probably keep pretty much the same role in TrueNuff Comic for now, but that’s only easy to say because, as some of you may have noticed, the Comic is struggling a bit lately. That doesn’t mean that it’s gone though. The comic has a second fifth life to come.
I could never stop being in comedy though, and as part of my continuing membership in the TrueNuff Community, I will hopefully keep all of you guys up-to-date in any new projects I might be able to get involved in. I’m also a lifetime member of the TrueNuff Forums, so I’m not abandoning those of you who love it here at TrueNuff.com as much as I do. I’ll be around.
To all of you who have helped create TrueNuff TV become what it is today, I want to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Everyone who’s ever viewed a video on YouTube, Revver or our site, commented, sent fan mail, sent hate mail, posted in the forums, joined us on Facebook, added us on MySpace, bought a t-shirt or drawing, and especially read the Comic, you are the most awesome people on the planet and have shaped the life I live today. I am in your debt (but I am also in debt to the bank, so they’re getting repaid first, sorry.)
