Over the next while, older comics are slowly being “re-bubbled” with clearer text so they’re easier to read on modern screens and phones. The typeface Kid Kosmic (shout out to Blambot) is still super fun, but 8px text is a relic of a bygone era.
As comics get cleaned up, I’m also reposting them over on the old TrueNuff Tumblr. The updated comics will also appear in the archive.
Transcriptions
Another thing happening behind the scenes: comic transcriptions are slowly being added to the classic comics. You may have seen some comics have a “script” link beneath them that shows the dialogue and panel descriptions for that particular comic. Besides accessibility, I’m hoping all this added text content helps Google understand what the hell this website actually is so new readers can slowly trickle in through search instead of discovering the comic entirely through drunken luck and Reddit.
