Just thought I would post a BIIIIG (totallynonhomosexualandpurelysupportive) HUUUUG to Threeboy and anyone else on the crew who needs it. I know EXACTLY what it is like to have real life creep up on you and knock you for six. Take a break, relax and recharge those batteries - we'll still be here when you get back, don't you worry now!

It could be worse.....

Tis fine by me. I'd prefer you to pass and not be dead then to sit here banging the desk demanding more TrueNuff now.

Take care guys, enjoy your break.

Yea, I think this is a good idea. There is no way in hell that I would be able to juggle all the things that Threeboy manages to do. It's about time he took a break, he deserves it.

Just don't take a to many breaks, I do enjoy my TrueNuff. :P

Three and Maelstrom need a break, after keeping the site going for so long without rai and gaiden... or at least that's what it seems like.

Things Threeboy needs to do (in this order):

1) Get caught up with School
2) Get caught up with Clients
3) Get caught up with True Nuff
4) Get an Asian massage
5) Get a case of beer and share with friends (esp. Maelstrom)
6) Complete Diamond Cup

And most important, get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.

Threeboy is the Master Multi-Tasker and his work is always appreciated.

Both Maelstrom and Threeboy deserve some lovin' from us cause they have done a great job to ensure we get laughs every week and the site (and everything that goes with it) is current. We know you both are incredibly busy. Enjoy your well deserved break!

I have never figured out how they are so multi-tasked. I would never be able to do that much at a time. Whenever I am piled up to my shoulders with stuff to do, I never feel like I'm caught up.

Take vacation for an example. Whenever I come back from vacation I always have tons of shit piled up at school. I spend atleast four nights or more (depending on how long I was on vacation) catching up on assignments I missed. When this happens I always feel rushed. The stress gets to me. I get lazy. I dont do it. I start getting a C/D in almost every class = less vacation I want to take.

i can't even take vacations from class. if i miss three classes, i auto-fail. it's a verrry intense course. i was absent yesterday and today cuz i'm sick. but i'm not allowed to miss class without telling the professors why. and on top of that, the class is every day, 8-12 or 8-11.. blah.

but yeah too bad it's not as easy to take a vacation from school/work.

happy face for being sick?

Budderfly

I work in a high stress job at a book publishing/distributing company so there is maybe a couple of downtime months in the year where I can take some of my vacation without feeling guilty.

But If I get sick or take a couple days off during the busy times I feel guilty cause I know there is work to be done and then I miss out and have to catch up and it's almost not worth the hassle. But you gotta put that behind and appreciate your time off. Your brain and sanity needs it. Even though your inbox will be full when you get back to the office but at least you'll be more rested.

KewlWhip

Yes, happy face for being sick because I got to miss school that day! :P

School is okay... but somedays I just need a break. I recently took vacation and when I came back my teachers told me I was all caught up. I was really happy, until they sent my mid-term. I had almost all C-'s and I usually always get B+'s. They hurted me. http://burns.thefinaldimension.org/contrib/ruinkai/spanka.gif

Anyways. Its good to take breaks every now and then as long as you dont make it a habit.

breaks are good, when they are not overdone or way too long, like a week or 2 are more than perfect, you can relax and get your things in order, and man this pass days, i haven´t been able to do anything, i get up go to unviersity at like 8:oo am come back from it at 6:00 pm, get a shower, eat and sleep, almost 12 hours in there for the pass 3 days, crazy you can say but is all needed to register the new term and the class schedule, man i'm so tired, i think i'm going to sleep

kkomafo
10-08-2003, 09:22 PM
maybe i'm just too lazy..:(

i try to rest on the weekends as much as possible so during the week, i don't feel like i need a break... but doesn't always work the best, cuz sometimes i still feel like i need to get away

SiegeTheGrave

yeah, since i started school on Monday, i haven't gotten much sleep each night. been up until AT LEAST one AM (talking to Ini most of the time), i had to work tonight so i'm going to bed late again, and then i gotta get up at 6, possibly push it to 6:30. i did take a nap today though, and damn it felt good. i'll probably do that again......later today after school. hoohaa!

Fuck, fuck fuuuckk!!!

Today I woke up at 6'o clock am. I did all the normal stuff and went out at around 6:55 for the bus. I played basketball in the meantime. I decided to stop at 8'o clock... The bus never came the bastards! Now, I'm stuck at home with no way to get to school since my dad is on a business trip and my mom is at work but not in her office. I'm friggin' screwed when my mom comes home!

Do you really think its my fault tho? I dont, since they never came or either they came about 30 minutes early. She'll probably still get angry at me. :?

school has been so stressing for me lately, i got projects, exams, and Im also working on a little congress we will be having on Oct 20th so yeah I do know the feeling of being stressed out and needing a sanity break... been meaning to take one too, but I cant right now (cant wait for October 25)...

and yeah, getting sick can sometimes be a good thing, cause sometimes thats the only way we force ourselves into having a little vacation (even if it means 1 day)

good luck guys and hope to have you back soon :)

no i don't think it's your fault but i know what you mean about your mom getting angry. i missed two days of class this week cuz i was sick and i told my mom and was like, "!!!!!" as if i just skipped class for no reason.

the missing the bus happened to me too. last semester, there was this shuttle was that supposed to come to take us back to school, and we were waiting out there for 20 minutes before it was supposed to come and 30 minutes after it was supposed to come, so we called the bus schedule people and they said we missed the shuttle cuz it left early. luckily it wasn't TO class, but coming home from class... but still... wasting my time! cuz i wasted 50 minues waiting and it takes about 50 minutes to get back by public bus.

Today at work we had a power outage for 3 1/2 hours. We kind of got a break before we could start the day. I even woke up an hour early this morning so I could get an early start at work. I could have slept in that extra hour. When I got to the building, all lights, except for the emergency lights, were out. It's hard to getmotivated to work now that half the day is gone. But it's a long weekend and I will be resting! I even sacrificed a night of sushi tonight just so I can get in more sleep. These six hour nights have to stop.

SiegeTheGrave
10-09-2003, 02:02 PM
yeah i've only been getting like 5 hours of sleep at the most. i should really stop that. unless i have to work late and can't control it. *shrugs* i just took a nap and i'm still sleepy lol.

I got alot of people asking "how is the break?".

There was no break.

I had to catch up in school, work, and TrueNuff. I'm still not caught up, the only thing I had "time off" from was TrueNuff's deadlines.

Which was nice.

HawtPants
10-12-2003, 10:55 AM
I just sent fanmail.

And, take as much time as you need to get caught up in school/work.

Caesar
10-12-2003, 11:20 AM
