Final Fantasy X-2

I personally think that the new direction that Squaresoft/Enix is taking with FFX-2 will turn quite a lot of fans away. I think by making the sequel with all 3 main characters female and wearing skimpy clothing will be too much of a change from what most fans are used to. Agree? Disagree? Why or Why Not?

i think it'll be good, but not as good as the final fantasy's on the SNES.

Square has some of the best storytellers in the industry, and regardless of who the main characters are, you can bet it will be on hell of a great game.

I don't think that they need to use scantily clad females to attract attention, because Square and the Final Fantasy name are enough to sell it already. I don't even know if it would work. How many heroines have we seen to this day who wear next to nothing, despite the tactical absurdity of it in combat?

Then again, boys will be boys, and most gamers will be boys (no offence Dess, but you know the numbers) and so maybe they thought 'why the hell not'? I suppose it IS an avenue that is fairly unexplored by them (having a female team as a lead).

That's true, although FF6 had a lot of "main" characters. You didn't even have her the whole game, so it was only "kinda sorta" focusing on her. You could make an argument that several characters from FF6 were the "main" character.

As for the new direction for FFX-2, I'm all for it. RPG's are in such desperate need of innovation anyway. All most of them have are flashy graphics anyway. Take away the 3D and the game doesn't change at all. Let's hope Square doesn't screw it up :P

But really though, they have very good story lines...and the characters are alright. Better than most of the characters in other games anyways. As a female, I haven't played FF X-2 yet, but it would be interesting to see what they had came up with.

pretty much the game involves people that seems to get sluttier as they go up in numbers... i noticed that especially with rikku.

yea im a big fan of the old final fantasy games, i love ff1, ff2, ff3, fftactics, and ff7, they all OWNED, however, i think the obsession over graphix is taking away a lot of the game play in the newer games, but thenagain i havent really tried any of the games after 7, smal trial of ff9 which seamed alright... but anyway, yea i think ff was a great series and has been going down hill, hopefully there will be good game play to go along with the new hot heroines in ffx-2,


btw, any one play crono trigger(im sure many have), lufia, lufia2...(few more old snes rpg's i cant think of)... but yea, i loved pretty much all the snes rpgs, they were great back in the day...

well i don´t think they are going to screw ffx2 basicaly i have seen a movie about it and is really nice looking, plus nothing like FF7 were you see a heroing actualy 2 women, aeris and tifa oh and yeah ff owns :)
