Well If You Look In History, Ever Since 1850's methinks, they've been trying to leave, cause there french ways of life was being (forgot the word) taken over by the english way of life. It wasn't till confederation that they gave quebec some fairness, in language in culture. But now they still wanna leave which is kinda silly, but some people want it but people won't vote for it, because they have no economy, and that they will have no canadian currency. Instead if they wanna leave they should think of something, that the US, did to protect culture to the southern islands (guam, puerto Rico).
