http://www.truenuff.com/blog/images/posts/vanfoodbank.gifIn the spirit of the season, TrueNuff has made a minor philanthropic move and decided to "spread it around" a little this season. Yesterday, James and Jeff (that's me!) went down to The Santa Fox Food Drive (http://www.cfox.com/station/santa_fox.cfm) put on by 99.3 The Fox (http://www.cfox.com) in Vancouver to support The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society (http://www.foodbank.bc.ca/main/) and presented them with a cheque from TrueNuff Entertainment.
They always like to ask donors to put out a "challenge" to other competitors (local plumber puts out a challenge to other plumbers/contractors to match or beat his donation, or actors challenge other people in the entertainment biz) but I always thought the competition bent on charity seemed a little odd. This season, when you see the Salvation Army (http://www.salvationarmy.org/ihq/www_sa.nsf) bell ringer on the street or in the mall, or you see the big food bank box at your grocery store, make an effort to throw something in. Every little bit has always helped and even a few more people chipping in can make a real difference.
At this time we're looking at making a few other donations too, and we'll keep you posted.
Cheers, all.
