God does it suck. It sucks out loud. Luckily I have control of the content filter and I can spend many hours surfing whatever I want. Aside from Flickr (http://www.flickr.com), Fleen (http://www.fleen.com), and of course the TrueNuff forums (http://www.truenuff.com/forums), here's some timekillers I've used while chained to the desk:
Portal: The Flash Version (http://portal.wecreatestuff.com/) - A cool Flash game based on the concept and puzzles of Valve (http://www.valvesoftware.com/)'s "Portal (http://www.whatistheorangebox.com/portal.html)" FPS game, released in The Orange Box (http://www.whatistheorangebox.com/index.html). I haven't played the real deal yet, but I plan to and this game really lays out the concepts for the game. It was created independently by We Create Stuff (http://www.wecreatestuff.com/) and is not sponsored by Valve.
Geekologie (http://www.geekologie.com) - So I might be showing my hand here, as many of the links I share and post around usually come to me from this site, but hey, I found it too. Geekologie has a lot of cool posts about the nerdy and the geeky fascinations, like robots (http://www.geekologie.com/fastsearch?tag=robot), industrial design (http://www.geekologie.com/fastsearch?tag=design) and ridiculous gadgetry (http://www.geekologie.com/2007/11/usb_retro_vacuum_has_no_attach.php). It's also a partner site/blog with I Watch Stuff (http://www.iwatchstuff.com) for movie news and rumors, and The Superficial (http://www.thesuperficial.com) for celebrity gossip, if you're into that kind of thing (which you totally are, but don't worry we won't tell). A lot of the writing is pretty funny too, so check 'em out.
Kawaii Not (http://www.kawaiinot.com)/Cute Overload (http://www.cuteoverload.com) - OK, so I'm a sensitive guy. I can appreciate the fuzzy and cuddly and nauseatingly cute. So there's a cute (http://www.kawaiinot.com/?p=10)/weird (http://www.kawaiinot.com/?p=26)/sometimes perverted (http://www.kawaiinot.com/?p=133) comic in KN and then the source of all that is *awwww* (http://mfrost.typepad.com/cute_overload/2007/04/yes_this_is_a_b.html) in the universe, the aptly named Cute Overload.OK, that's enough for now. I'm gonna try and look busy for the next 15 minutes or so then take an hour-long lunch break.
