You've never heard of a cheque Manta? Its a little piece of paper (with special printing and such) that you write an amount of money on. Then you sign it and date it, and write down who it goes to and give it to that person. Then they can take it to a bank and cash it in.

Yeah, "check" is the Americanized version of the proper "cheque".

But who want to get money for their birthday? Only from like, an uncle or something, heh, it's the THOUGHT that goes INTO the gift that counts.
