Windows media centre (xbox360)

Righto, my current PC rig is not all that shabby and runs windows Vista (what a mistake Vista was for me) which has media centre.

I recently bought a second hand xbox 360. I can get the 360 and vista to talk to each other, but the 360 only plays WMV or AAC files. What a joke.

I then tried TVersity and Transcode360 to talk to the 360 to play all my avi, divx, xvid and QT files, with zero success. I'm pretty much about over it, and ready to label the whole excercise another half-arsed microsoft joke, and go back to using my chipped xbox 1.

Anyone actually managed to get the 360 to play common file formats?

It doesn't play mp3? that's kinda bunk!

Well I don't know about any of that, but I would never buy a 360 that didn't have, at least, a 3-year warranty. That's balls, though, if it can't play anything you mentioned.

So long as it can play Mass Effect you should be right though.
