Wel it's that time of year. And by "that time of year" I mean the two weeks before The Holiday when I should really consider going out to buy the presents I need to give to people. I know what I'm going to get, I just have to go and get it all.

The hot item this year is, of course, the Playstation 3. Well, it would probably have been hot anyway, if Sony had managed to only make more than 300 of the damn things for sale before Christmas. Fortunately, there are options for those of you who saved up the $600 needed (MSRP, not the crazy eBay prices) to get one! Here's some other way for you so spend your money:

2 XBox 360 Core Systems
2 Nintendo Wii Systems, and $100 left over for games!
3 PSPs
4 Nintendo DS Lite systems (with games)
Between 50 - 100 NES systems at the Salvation Army
A 1993 Geo Metro convertible (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NO-RESERVE-GREAT-CONDITION-VERY-CLEAN-NEW-TOP-5-SPEED_W0QQitemZ300060312529QQihZ020QQcategoryZ6242 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) and probably a few tanks of gas
About 20 shares in Nintendo (http://quotes.nasdaq.com/asp/SummaryQuote.asp?symbol=NTDOY&selected=NTDOY) (maybe not such bad idea)
About 15 shares in Sony (http://www.nyse.com/about/listed/lcddata.html?ticker=SNE) (maybe not such a good idea)
About $1800 of Food for your local food bank
Feed 2 third-world children for 2 years OK so maybe you can see where my alliances lie. No I don't know anything about the stock market but if you make money of my snide remarks I will welcome a 20% commission. Oh and if you think I ended that list on a downer, just give a thought to giving to someone you DON'T know this year. Whether in your local community, or farther away.
