Because it's a world wide sporting event and the majority of sports fans on the planet were watching. It had more TV coverage than any professional sporting event ever AND the final game was a KILLER match and exciting as Hell to watch.

If you didn't watch it or don't care then don't post.

I thought it was a killer game and I'm super pumped that Italy won, being half Italian.

I wished I had gotten to watch more of the games but I could just never get near a TV when they were on.

ITALY ARE CHEATS!

The game against Australia should have gone to a penalty shoot out, not a dive Grosso took with 15 seconds left. He was actually laughing when he hit the ground. I can't say that we would have won the shoot out, but it could have been a different World Cup.

FIFA owe Australia big time. Hell, the ump they gave us for the Uragury match has since quit International umpiring cause he was so ashamed of how badly he did.
