They vary from small news scripts, image galleries, to full administrated backends. Things like tying directly in with VBulletin www.vbulletin.com and PHPBB www.phpbb.com are a possbility as are shopping carts and things.

I send out jobs via an email list (which you tell me if you want to be on or not). The email will have the job descriptions and price range, etc, Then you contact the client and negotiate a price and stuff, or if you don't want the job you dont reply to the email :)
