I have a nice 1985 Subaru GL Wagon with 82 horsepower. I might have some fun & bring it up to 200-300.

When I get my license (you'd better be carfeul on the roads ;)) I plan on getting a Volkswagen Jetta or Golf. As for whether or not I like Toyota, I don't like them, but I like them more than those god damn Civics.

I say go for an SUV!
My picks:
-Chevy Tahoe
-Cadillac Escalade
....Hellz yah...

I can't afford either of these cars right now, so I'm just hoping to get a:
-Jeep Cherokee
-Jeep TJ
or
-Ford Explorer

BUT I don't want a V8...which is a frikkin problem.
Anyone know a GOOD SUV with a 4 Cylinder or a V6??

Mercedes ML320... Its about the same as a high end tahoe...

I still wish Mercedes, Volvo and BMW were still importing thier diesels to Canada... Now the only people are Volkswagen... the SD I have, on 80 litres of fuel, it will drive from Edmonton to Vancouver... on one tank...

I really hope you are saying Km/ph and not m/ph...

in the means of getting a toyota..dont think having one would be bad...more over, i just dont like any of their current models. my girlfriend drives a Toyota Camery though..not a bad car.

I myself would love to own a Audi A4...and since it is basically the same car...the VW passat wouldnt be bad.
--------------
the question i have for all of you is, would you buy a lexus, because Toyota makes lexus...

My first car was an 85 Chevette. And it was GREAT little car. It might have broken down but the 85hp machine would never die. I bought it off a friend for $100 and I sold it with the brakes not working for $400. HA!!!!

I now drive an 88 Mazda 323. It's in great shape (no rust) and the engine is sound.

If I had the $$$ I'd check into the following:

350ZX (new from Nissan)
PT Cruiser Convertable
Chevy Trailblazer
Some kind of Chevy pick-up, done out of course

not so crazy about Lexus'...some of them are nice.

Way sweeter than Toyotas though...

Yeah...err...ChineseElite, I was referring to AFFORDABLE cars. The ML320 is still relatively new and therefore, since it is mercedes, probably much out of my price range

Justin Timberlake has one though. It's probably a super-sweet ass ride..maybe I can get him to pick me up sometime...

ooh i wish...

Yeah..not saying that the Lexus is the best cars...but they are damn refined.

The car I would really like as of right now...the 2003 Mini Cooper. So sweet..hehe.
I really like BMW 325's, quite nice. Acura's are pretty nice too...should steal my mom's.

The bigger the car, the smaller the mind.

I have a learner's permit, but know nothing about actually driving a car. I didn't even read the book and I passed the test. It's waaaaaay too easy.

Anonymous
12-03-2002, 03:45 PM
yeah, the learners just makes sure you have common knowledge of a car and the road.

I remember it being super easy, but then again, I didn't have to go thru the new driving program... :P

Yeah. I got my liscense before the new driving program started. It was way to easy to obtain your liscense then. Gosh I feel a little old...

They absorb stormwater overflow.(My car and I jumped out of a dry one) I can't think of a reason for them to be limited to the south.

Canada...you get a big magnetic red L if u pass your learners
and an equally tacky green magnetic N if you pass your New Driver's test. After that you have to wait an unreasonably long period of time before you can get your real drivers license.
Sux to be new drivers.
