yeah, this is for counter-strike and stuff. thanks for looking at this btw. i got a new computer, its an eMachine, and it has a 2700+ AMD athlon processor, 256 mb of ddr, and a weird vid card, 64 mb, its called an S3G/VIA UniChrome Graphics card. when going into cs, my fps is 72, but when i go into a window like options, or servers, then my fps drops to like 40. then, when i join a game, it goes to like 12-30. i tried all the basic tweaks like v-sync and everything above, but it doesnt help at all, i think its a hardware issue. if anyone can help, itll be great. itll be also cool to tell me the reputation for an eMachine to use for gaming, and the reputation of this weird vid card. im gonna switch vid cards, so tell me if that might help with my fps prob too. thanks

I've had similar problems.

1)Make sure your BIOS is up to date - this fixed most of my problems.
2)Make sure your drivers are up to date (duh).
3)Buy a new graphics card (that thing isn't worth the circuit board it's built on).

Go to the website of the manufacturer, find your model of system or motherboard, and then look for BIOS updates.
