wrote this in my livejournal, might as well re-post here sine it's a goot run down of the product :D
I got a nifty PS2 to USB convertor so I can play PC games with my PS2 gamepad (get one @ Jandaman's Import Videogame Accessories (http://www.jandaman.com), and I managed to waste the whole day playing games.
It works as a direct X joystick, I tried it with the following.
- X-Wing Alliance
- Indiana Jones & The Infernal Machine
- Jedi Knight II (mouse & keybaord is really the way to go for FPS')
- ZSnes (SNES emulator, works fucking AWESOME)
- Metal Gear Solid
- MAME (emulator, also worked awesome. Played street fighter & vector STAR WARS game, :D)
since it's a USB joystick it only works with win games, not dos games, so I couldn't load up the rebel assault I or II :( Although, there is a keypad binding software that comes with it so theoretically you could play anything with it!
I never want to buy another PC gamepad/joystick again because the PS2 gamepad (aka SNES gamepad 2.0) is te best gamepad out there :P
