I've had TN Comic on the mind a lot lately, which is good for everyone, but I've noticed that random events have been turning into comic ideas for me. This is an awesome and welcome return to the comic writer's mindset. I miss the days when anytime something funny happened I immediately had strip ideas. Now when anything funny happens, I just laugh and pee myself a little.

Where was I going with this? Oh right!

To dispel as permanently as possible the notion that your favorite character Brando and the comic writer Brando shared the same misfortunes in love, I have taken a bold step and asked my girlfriend to marry me. Well, to dispel notions and because she's the goddamned awesomest woman ever. For someone that beautiful, patient and caring to fall for ME, well that just doesn't happen every day (and this girl is PROPER FIT). A man's gotta know when he's got something perfect, and an immature comic-writing child locked in the body of Atlas should also try and pay attention at least, so here we are.

So to the men out there, if she's the right one for you, LOCK ER DOWN!

To the ladies, sorry! This ship has sailed... Don't cry though, Brando will still continue to get kicked in the nuts and hit with stuff and treated with complete disrespect from women, but only in the comic from here on out, because she said yes.

[TN TV!] Online Video Crisis?

I know I joked about the Financial Crisis affecting us a couple weeks ago but it looks like it's coming true. Revver (a site where we host our videos) seems to be on it's last legs and as a result none of our embedded videos on our site are working.

We will be switching the videos on our site to YouTube embeds in the near future but in the meantime all our videos are still viewable through our YouTube Profile. You may also hop onto our Podcast where you can download local copies of our videos in case we all explode or something.

Shit, I hope that doesn't come true - WHAT HAVE I DONE!?

[TN TV!] Podcast Fixed and Updated

Our iPod/iTunes viewers should be happy to hear that our Podcast has been fixed and brought up to speed with our other subscription methods. If you recall it was on the rocks since June. We move fast here, keep up, don't blink.

The Podcast now has all of our videos for your downloading pleasure and the downloads are now in .m4v format which we're told is compatible with more players. If any of you are rocking out on our Podcast please write a review (you can do it through iTunes) and maybe we can snag some new peeps into the world of 'nuff.

As for new videos we sorted out our gear problems and filmed a couple short ones which we'll roll out in a couple weeks. In the next week we'll be re-releasing some of our vids on YouTube in “high quality” - you can guess which ones they are.

And if you don't know, now you know.

Happy Birthday (yesterday) to crew member Cranston! His real birthday was actually yesterday and we celebrated it a couple nights ago watching the very odd UFC 91 on Saturday.

If you want to get a hold of him to send him Birthday wishes the best way is probably hopping into Azeroth and tracking down his character.

It's also Jess' Birthday today too! Woo woo!

[TrueNuff] Financial Crisis 2008

So we're all currently in a bit of a poop storm. The Credit card crunch and tech sector layoffs have made their way down the economic chain and hit us all where it hurts - small goofy comedy groups. You wouldn't think it affects us here at TrueNuff, but it does. With the recent departure we have effectively downsized TrueNuff Comic & TrueNuff TV! by 25% each!

There's some good news in all of this - with the weakening Canadian dollar our shirts are now 20% cheaper for Americans. This "sale" wont last forever, or maybe it will - I'm no financial expert!

In this time of need we need you all to band together, subscribe and maybe then we can make it through this crunch.

Some of you may have gotten the last five blog posts re-posted to your feed readers this week. It's because we've made some improvements to our RSS system. We've got a couple new RSS feeds for you to subscribe to. You can now subscribe to just TrueNuff TV! Blogs or just TrueNuff Comic Blogs in case you don't want to hear our non-content related inane chatter and incessant whining you get when you subscribe to the main TrueNuff Blog feed.

...I'm not gonna explain what RSS is anymore... D'oh!

[TN TV!] Minor Setbacks

Our last two shoots have been canceled because we didn't have a $5 headphone extension cable for our video mic. A stupid reason to cancel shoots, we know - we're clowns. The cable has been ordered so we'll be able to get new content together in the upcoming weekends.

Like we said in our previous Video Update we managed to shoot a bunch of sketches in the summer that still had Jeff in them. The sketch we released last night titled "Waiter 1" (part 1 of a 3 part series) is one of those sketches. For the next few weeks we'll be releasing a flurry of "Mini" sketches that we shot and "banked up" during the summer when we had Jeff around. We'll use the time to get our shtuff together to figure out what full-length (full-lenght being 1-3 minutes, heh) sketch we want to do next.

In addition to these vandonkulous equipment woes, we've gotten some crew career changes & adjustments! Moze recently started a new career as an electrician and I've recently gotten a long term contract (steady pay) with a web company in Florida (I ain't moving!). With our new responsibilities time is tighter, but we're meeting when we can, writing when we can, and filming when we can. Thanks for watching, thanks for subscribing, and thanks for buying shirts!

Maybe when Jeff was here he held us together and kept us in check... or maybe he just had the cable we needed.

Either way filming will commence soon enough.
