TrueNuff Movember 2013 Aftermath & Misc. News Bites

Posted December 12, 2013 at 1:54 AM by Threeboy in TrueNuff
Image It looks like TrueNuff Canada has beat TrueNuff USA for the third year in a row.

The final totals were:

The numbers are quite different from last year but given our video releases have been a bit piddly lately we did really well - thank you all who contributed and helped us spread the word for a noble cause. Many thanks to Chris G. for captaining the USA team again!

Speaking of our video releases we've obviously winded down for the end of the year however we've got some good news! Moze has finally put the order in for a new computer so we will be able to share editing responsibilities in the new year. However, with the new computer we are also doubling our software costs so we'll probably have to figure out that roadblock next year too.

To comic readers, unfortunately this may be another "no comic" year but if you’re feeling festive and nostalgic we have cool holiday wallpapers and you can re-read the A Jay In The Manger story arc.

Your Tauntaun will freeze out there unless you like, mad cuddle it!

TrueNuff Movember 2013

It's Movember and we're gonna grow out our moustaches to raise money for this worthy cause for the third year in a row. Last year Team Canada edged out Team USA at the buzzer but we managed to raise over $1000 together - let's see if we can do it again this year!

Select your fighter.

If you want to donate and/or join head on over to one of the team pages:

We also have registered the TrueNuff Network that gives a nice overview of both teams and also includes Jeff who is on his work team. If you are in another country not listed here and would like to captain a team please let me know.

We thought of raising money by going all "Bacon Bad" but the van got bumpy and the deep fryer spilled over and burnt our toes.

Life Moe's In The House

We often joke about Brando being a washed up child actor but now there's documented proof of his spot on a show called Breaker High.

Click here to jump 13:49 to the spot where Brando is. According to the legend he was supposed to be in a couple more episodes but was cut from the show. Yes, that is indeed Ryan Gosling in that scene way before he refused to eat his cereal.

Brando recently came back from a trip to Africa a couple months ago and posted his photos compared to some scenes from the Lion King to Reddit/Imgur where it got over 300,000 views! Not too shabby.

More stuff on the way.

TNTV Summer Lovin'

Posted July 17, 2013 at 11:47 PM by Threeboy in TNTV
So we're kinda on a bit of a filming hiatus as we kinda do every summer. Various crew members are going to various countries for vacation. Moze is going to Spain, Brando is going to Africa, and I just got back from Toronto (for bidness, don't worry I'm not pulling a "Jeff" or a "Sean").

Even though filming is on pause until August we do have a few videos in editing that will be released when they're done:

  • Maquino - Turns out the Rob has a shadowy past...
  • You Smell Good - wrote this way back in in 2008 and yeah it probably doesn't hold up.
  • Writing Room: Star Wars - kinda like the original Writing Room but we just kinda talk about Star Wars.
  • RPG - we filmed this last summer but due to the "special effects" needed it keeps getting bumped.

As always sign up to the TrueNuff.tv Mailing List if you want to be notified when those videos hit the web since we don't post a blog every time we release a video.

No Sharknado parodies in the works... yet?

TrueNuff FanExpo 2013 Wrap-up

Posted April 24, 2013 at 1:10 AM by Threeboy in TrueNuff
Our first time at a convention as exhibitors went (reasonably) well. Technically we lost money but promotion costs money, right? What FanExpo really did was spur us to create a trailer for the TrueNuff.tv YouTube page and finally update the bear icon we've been using the last few years. We handed out 97 of the 100 posters we had printed for the event and the 3 remaining ones will be up at the TrueNuff Shop once we get the missing crew members to sign them.

More FanExpo musings after the jump...

TNTV FanExpo Vancouver 2013

TrueNuff is gonna be at this year's FanExpo Vancouver on April 20th and 21st! It's our first convention as exhibitors and we have no idea what we're doing. If you're in the area swing by our table for a free poster, to buy merch or just to say hi. We're not huge cewebrities so we'll sign anything for free (within reason).

You'll be able to find us seated at table 66 in the indie "Artist Alley" section - 10AM to 7PM on Saturday and 10AM to 5PM on Sunday!

Click for a video

If you can't make it that's too bad but follow our Facebook & Twitter accounts and we'll post photos and other updates throughout the days. For more information on the convention itself check out the FanExpo Vancouver website.

We'll probably go for beers after (probably the Sunday because there's a hockey game on Saturday - for reals).

TNTV TrueNuff.tv Podcast

Posted April 9, 2013 at 11:18 PM by Threeboy in TNTV
Just a quick blug post to let you know the (original) TrueNuff.tv Crew was featured in episode 2 of J.Rai's podcast One of Us. We talk about the good old days when no one cared about this fandangled "High Definition" stuff and Cranston got super drunk and felt us all up - okay that last part didn't happen.

You can get an audio-only version of the podcast at the One Of Us website and if you like our innane rambling check out the prior TrueNuff Comic episode too.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled dick jokes.

Comic TrueNuff Comic Podcast

Comic peeps, long time no talk! Jeff started a podcast called One of Us and featured the OG comic Crew to discuss the origins of TrueNuff Comic. It's a bit long and it's not a new comic, heh.

You can listen to and download an audio only version of the podcast at the One of Us site.

If you want to see more videos head to TrueNuff.tv to see all the other ones we've done - they are much, much shorter.

No new comics yet, maybe soon...
