Life: UFC One Hunnert!Posted July 11, 2009 at 1:34 PM by Threeboy
Jess & myself started hosting "UFC Nights" or BBQ's for our friends. Mostly because I'm obsessed with martial arts and secondly because it's an excuse the party! As our hosted events have gotten bigger and bigger (as my friends get up to speed and start finding out that UFC isnt as brutal as they thought) it's becoming less about the fights and more about the good times.I don't want to debate if you find it brutal or mindless, or whatever. I don't mind you're entitled to your own opinion. I happen to like it (two beefy men in their underwear wrasslin' - what's to hate?) and find it highly entertaining. There's rules and crap now, it's no longer "no holds bard" and it's a legit sport (I would argue the most legit, but I won't get into that here). That aside, tonight Jess & I are hosting a big BBQ for UFC 100 and while there will be quality, entertaining fighting, it's the shared experience with our friends. There's the debate of who's gonna win, what's gonna happen and "did you just see that!?" moments. However, the essence of the night is kickin' back, sippin' brews, chewing on charred animals (or veggies) and sharing good times with company. Crazy, highly trained athletes beat the crap out of each other in the background but the friends steal the show. If you're an artist, musician, designer or a content creator of any kind - I belive that if you live life with passion, it'll bleed-through and show itself in your work. If the other hand was on the other foot, if you lived your life dull and tirelessly then guess what kind of content you'd be creating. Yah, bunk. Our content may not be the most polished (we're working with a shoestring budget, c'mon!) but we try to give you a "slice of life" in our life inspired (LifeNuff eh? Doesn't have the right ring to it) comedy whether it be videos, comics, or that secret comedy-porn project that Cranston and I are secretly working on (where's the edit function?). We can however promise you that we attack our work with passion. We hope it shows. So really, it doesn't matter what you do or who you're doing it with - just do it, do it hard, and do it with friends (I didn't mean it that way, this ain't Bayside) for the best results. Live hard, love harder! Photo by picadillywilson Life: Happy Birthday Brando!Posted July 7, 2009 at 11:30 AM by Threeboy
We all know "Brando" from TrueNuff Comic, right? If you don't know what the hell are you doing here!? In any event, the real life inspiration for Brando turned one year older this year.So it's Brandon's birthday - and we call him "Brando" for short. Now that we know that we're not talking about that Brando, let's talk about this Brando. No, not the Brando in the picture - try to follow along. Are you listening? As I was saying it's Brando's birthday so I'm gonna make sure we have the Beer Poppers ready to sell as soon as possible so you may buy'em to open bottled beers and drink in his honor (whoa, BAD SELL!). Shifting hastily and awkwardly back to the topic at hand I will close with the following: "Thanks for being Brando, thanks for being here, there and everywhere for your family, your friends and everyone else. Happy Birthday, buds - hope to share many more with you!"A note for everyone, please go easy on him with birthday bumps. Next year is "dirty thirty" and he'll be an old man. Twenty-nine birthday bumps to his nutsack - daaaaamn. Life: Follow Me @ TwitterPosted April 28, 2009 at 9:35 PM by Threeboy

Life: A recent engagement...Posted November 14, 2008 at 1:57 PM by Brando
With Christmas right around the corner, Halloween right around the other corner going the other way, mortgages getting harder and harder to steal and bloggers getting so lazy they don't even finish their thoughts, it's important for us toI've had TN Comic on the mind a lot lately, which is good for everyone, but I've noticed that random events have been turning into comic ideas for me. This is an awesome and welcome return to the comic writer's mindset. I miss the days when anytime something funny happened I immediately had strip ideas. Now when anything funny happens, I just laugh and pee myself a little. Where was I going with this? Oh right! To dispel as permanently as possible the notion that your favorite character Brando and the comic writer Brando shared the same misfortunes in love, I have taken a bold step and asked my girlfriend to marry me. Well, to dispel notions and because she's the goddamned awesomest woman ever. For someone that beautiful, patient and caring to fall for ME, well that just doesn't happen every day (<uk>and this girl is PROPER FIT</uk>). A man's gotta know when he's got something perfect, and an immature comic-writing child locked in the body of Atlas should also try and pay attention at least, so here we are. So to the men out there, if she's the right one for you, LOCK ER DOWN! To the ladies, sorry! This ship has sailed... Don't cry though, Brando will still continue to get kicked in the nuts and hit with stuff and treated with complete disrespect from women, but only in the comic from here on out, because she said yes. *phew* I love you Andrea. Life: Cranston B-Day!Posted October 28, 2008 at 12:07 AM by Threeboy
Happy Birthday (yesterday) to crew member Cranston! His real birthday was actually yesterday and we celebrated it a couple nights ago watching the very odd UFC 91 on Saturday. If you want to get a hold of him to send him Birthday wishes the best way is probably hopping into Azeroth and tracking down his character. It's also Jess' Birthday today too! Woo woo! Life: J.Rai is leavingPosted July 30, 2008 at 1:56 PM by J.Rai
The weird thing is, my leaving TrueNuff has almost nothing to do with TrueNuff aside from it's physical geography. I'm moving from Vancouver to Toronto (a distance of 3300 km or 2000 miles for those of you not familiar with Canada's map) so it's essentially impossible for me to continue participating in writing sessions, video shoots and weekly meetings that are the core of the TrueNuff production process. More after the jump... Life: Happy Birthday J.Rai!Posted May 5, 2008 at 10:53 AM by Threeboy
Everyone's lovable bastard jerk Jeff turns one year older today. To kick it off Tonight there'll be a Cinco De Mayo BBQ celebration at Casa de Brando tonight. I'd invite everyone but can't since it's kind of a small place. Maybe next year! Trent Reznor even released an album free for him today - whadda guy. The party shirt has got to make it's way into the comic. Life: Happy Birthday to Me!Posted March 28, 2008 at 11:51 AM by Threeboy
