TrueNuff: Return of "The Crew"

Posted July 14, 2009 at 7:16 PM by Threeboy
Image We had a big meeting a few days ago to decide the fate of TrueNuff as a whole. None of us were thinking of quitting but we thought there were a few hurdles holding us back from our full potential.

Brando & I have been throwing around a couple new side projects on a verbal basis and we've finally started to formalize and collect the ideas. We want to create them under the TrueNuff umbrella but the new projects wouldn't fit in our current "two party system". So we had a meeting with all five crew members (we nearly overloaded our conference software) and decided to "lift some walls" so to speak. Now any of the crew is allowed to work on any project they want.

We've decided we want to be more of a "comedy think tank" rather then just a sketch comedy group or web cartoonists. Kinda like Google, but with a comedy focus and nowhere near as useful (or profitable).

These under-the-hoood changes shouldn't result in much of a difference to you the audience. You will see more intermingling between the projects though. Brando & Rob may popup in TrueNuff.tv sketches, Cranston & Moze might dabble at comic writing, and these new projects we're developing may have a variety of team configurations. They're new and exciting but don't worry we'll still be working on the "old" projects. Hell, stuff might even happen sooner since we're getting more organized with all hands on deck.

Basically we're one big team now and things are feelin' good so far. There's a folk saying in Africa "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together" - so we're moving forward into the future holding hands, but not in a gay way. Okay, kinda of in a gay way. Also, as different as these projects may (or may not) be at the end of the day they'll still be TrueNuff.

...so basically we're communist now.

Been wondering when the cross-overs would start. Glad to see you guys forging a way ahead. Are we going to see comic avatars based on Moze and Cranston appearing in the comic?

Look hard and you'll see they've already made appearances

A while ago, like in the Jay/Beergarden storyline.

Wheeeeeee!!!! Found them!

I'm kinda embarrassed tho. It took hunting this down to realise the tag line underneath where it says "Updates whenever" is random and changes with each page load!
